Experience Real, Wholesome Baking with an Eco Friendly Approach

Our recipes aren’t about shortcuts or instant results. We believe in the art of baking from scratch, with each ingredient meticulously measured and packaged separately. By streamlining the process, we eliminate the hassle of weighing and minimise food waste. But that’s not all—our commitment to the planet extends to our packaging.

Say goodbye to plastic and hello to eco-friendly materials. Treehouse Bakery uses plant-based packaging that can be composted or recycled. We are dedicated tree huggers, ensuring that every single item we send you finds its way back to nature, never ending up in a landfill.

From Our Sustainable Kitchen To Yours

At Treehouse Bakery, we are committed to practising what we preach when it comes to eco friendly baking in our own kitchen. From the selection of our baking products to the way we handle waste, every step is taken with the environment in mind. We opt for eco-friendly alternatives such as silicone baking pans and trays, which are not only plastic-free but also reusable and zero waste. By using these sustainable options, we ensure that our baked goods are better for the environment.

When it comes to ingredients, we use a range of sustainable alternatives to traditional dairy products. Whether it’s swapping milk and eggs with a plant-based alternative in our baking mixes or using dairy-free options for cookies and desserts, we prioritise sustainability and reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with animal agriculture. We also purchase our ingredients in bulk, reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable approach to baking.

Stephanie is an entrepreneur with a sustainable vision

We use reusable baking liners that eliminate the need for single-use parchment paper or foil, contributing to a zero waste kitchen. By implementing these eco-friendly switches, we strive to demonstrate that sustainable baking practices are not only achievable but also delicious. So, if you’re not ready to make the change just yet, don’t worry—I’ll be here to guide you along the way and offer a range of sustainable options that are better for the environment. Together, let’s embrace the power of eco-friendly baking and make a positive impact on our planet, one cookie at a time.

Real, Wholesome Baking that’s Kind to the Planet

Our recipes aren’t “instant” or “cheats” either. Each ingredient is measured and packaged separately so you will make your treats from scratch. We’re just saving you the hassle of weighing everything out AND reducing food waste by giving you just what you need. Which brings us on to our next point:

A little love for the planet. Plastic Shmlastic! Treehouse packaging is made from plants and to plants it shall return. You can compost or recycle or reuse Every. Single. Thing. We are tree huggers after all, and it will always be a priority for us to make sure that nothing we send you ever ends up in a landfill.

At Treehouse Bakery, we wear our “Tree Hugger” badge proudly. Our mission is to craft enjoyable and delectable products that not only bring joy to your taste buds but also contribute to a greener planet. With our unwavering commitment, every recipe in our arsenal is 100% plant-based, while our packaging is thoughtfully designed to be compostable or recyclable. This means that when you indulge in our vegan baking kits, you can satisfy your sweet tooth guilt-free, knowing that you’re making an environmentally conscious choice. Join us in celebrating the harmony between scrumptious treats and sustainability, one delicious bite at a time.

Sustainable Packaging for a Greener Future

At Treehouse Bakery, we prioritise eco-consciousness in every aspect of our business, and that includes our packaging. Our commitment to the environment drives us to seek the most environmentally conscious options available. Here’s how we ensure minimal waste and maximum sustainability:

Cellulose Bags:

Our flour and sugar bags may resemble plastic, but they’re actually made from wood pulp. These bags can be easily composted at home or added to your green waste bin.

PLA (Polylactic Acid) Tubs:

The sturdy tubs we use for liquid ingredients are made from corn. While they can’t be composted at home, they are commercially compostable. You can send your used PLA tubs back to us, and we’ll ensure they reach a commercial composting facility. Check out the instructions for returning PLA on this page, or visit the Vegware website for more information on PLA.

Compostable Stickers:

The plant-based stickers we use to label our high-quality ingredients are compostable and can be added to your home compost or green waste bin.

Recyclable Cardboard Boxes:

Our brown cardboard boxes are made from 75% recycled material and are fully recyclable in your household card collection.

Recycled Paper Recipe Cards:

We print our recipe cards on recycled paper that never uses silk. Once you’re done with them, simply recycle them in your household paper collection.

Eco-Friendly Kraft Tape:

We seal our boxes with kraft tape, which is a paper-based product. Unlike traditional tape made from plastic, our kraft tape can be recycled along with our boxes.

With our environmentally friendly choices, we aim to reduce waste and make a positive impact on the planet. Join us in our mission to bake with love for both your taste buds and the environment.

Make it Extra Special with Eco Friendly Gift Wrapping

Our gift wrapping is crafted from recycled paper, adorned with captivating designs printed using organic inks. Not only does it look stunning, but it’s also completely compostable. So you can make your gift-giving moments even more memorable, knowing that you’re making a sustainable choice from start to finish.

We'll Recycle Your PLA For You

At Treehouse Bakery, we’re committed to reducing waste and ensuring that our packaging is as sustainable as possible. While the sturdy tubs we use for liquid ingredients made from corn can’t be composted at home, we provide a convenient solution for their proper disposal. Simply follow these steps to return your used PLA containers to us:

Step 1: Wash and dry your PLA containers thoroughly. Use warm water and a little soap, just like you would with any other baking equipment. Ensure the containers are completely dry before proceeding.

Step 2: Package up your PLA containers. You can place them back in the box we sent with your baking kit or use any suitable packaging you have on hand.

Step 3: Include a piece of paper in the box with your name, email, and mailing address. You can even write this information on the inside of the box to save paper.

Step 4: Post your parcel to us at the following address: Treehouse Bakery 39 Leeside Stockport, SK4 2DN

By returning your used PLA containers, you’re actively participating in our sustainable packaging initiative. Together, we can make a positive impact on the environment. Thank you for your contribution!
